This unique multi-electrode array provides endless design alternatives for recording and stimulation protocols

  • Originally designed for chronic use applications MEAs are equally effective for acute studies as well
  • Electrodes available in Tungsten, Pt/Ir and Pure Iridium
  • Up to 128 penetrating microelectrodes per array
  • Spacing between electrodes from 0.1 to 1.0 mm
  • Microelectrode impedance is specified by the user to be anywhere from 10 kilohm to 5.0 megohm
  • Un-insulated electrode may also be specified to act as the ground or reference electrode
  • Microelectrode may be specified at any length between 1.0 to 40 mm including different lengths within an array
  • Insulation type of the electrode is Parylene-C
  • Polyimide tubing may be used for additional stiffness and insulation thickness for deep penetrations
  • MEAs may be specified to incorporate a cannula for fluid injection
MEA

MEAs are inspected for mechanical and electrical accuracy of each microelectrode

MEA

MEAs have been used for small animal experiments in mice and birds.

MEA

MEAs have been design to take on many different geometries and electrode layouts for a multitude of experimental protocols. Note the length of the MEA on left and the cannula array on the right.
